Jennie studied Occupational Therapy at Northampton University from 2000 to 2003. After qualifying, she completed a rotational post before specialising in Paediatric Occupational Therapy and has continued to work in this field for the past 12 years.
Working in the NHS for the majority of her career, Jennie has gained a wealth of experience in her various clinical roles from a newly qualified Therapist through to a Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist. She has worked across a number of NHS and community settings, in doing so she has developed longstanding relationships with a wide range of professionals across the health, social care and education sectors. She values the importance of working collaboratively to ensure children and their families are at the centre of their care.
Since graduating Jennie has completed a range of additional training including; assessment and prescription of specialist equipment, constraint-induced movement therapy, alternative and augmentative communication (AAC), postural management, hand splinting, DMOrthotics lycra garment assessment and prescription.
Jennie has lived in Pembury for 6 years with her husband Peter and they have a 1 year old daughter.
Jenni Watts
Highly Specialist Paediatric Physiotherapist
Jenni lives in Rusthall with her husband Adam and two young daughters; Amelie and Jasmine.
She has specialised in Paediatric Physiotherapy for the past 10 years having graduated from Brunel University, London as a Chartered Physiotherapist.
Throughout her career Jenni has worked as a Physiotherapist in a variety of settings including NHS hospitals and communities and specialist schools and nurseries. She has been the Physiotherapist for the charity Dreamflight's London and Kent regions for 2 years, and is currently also working part time at 'Young Epilepsy' in the neuro-rehabilitation unit and college. This breadth of experience has enabled Jenni to gain a knowledge of the work of the huge multidisciplinary teams involved in caring for children and she has maintained strong links with many of these professionals and organisations.
Jenni has completed extensive additional training since graduating including becoming a Bobath trained therapist. Her most recent training includes the management of Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy, Elastic therapeutic taping techniques, Hydrotherapy, Rebound Therapy, Neuromuscular conditions, Postural management and DMOrthotics lycra garment assessment and prescription.
